Competitive Pathway
By Invitation and Assessment
Competitive athletes are selected through coach assessment and placement. Training schedules, competition opportunities, and commitment levels vary according to each gymnast's stage of development.
Elite Rhythmic Centre offers a structured competitive pathway for athletes who demonstrate commitment, potential, and a passion for rhythmic gymnastics. Programs progress from introductory competitive levels through Provincial and National streams.

All athletes are required to wear black tank tops with black shorts or leggings (available at dance shops).
Toe shoes or white socks must be worn.
Rhythmic gymnastics apparatus can be purchased through the club. Your coach will advise on necessary items and help coordinate colours.
ODP (Ontario Development Program)
Ages 6-8
Ideal for athletes ages 6-8, this program acts as a bridge to competitive streams. Training focuses on advancing flexibility, coordination, balance, and strength while reinforcing key skills such as self-discipline and independent training. This level is designed to prepare gymnasts for future competitive participation.
Interclub
Ages 6+
For athletes looking to experience competitive rhythmic gymnastics, this program helps develop the skills needed for the competitive level. Gymnasts must be at least 6 years old to enter and will train for both individual and group routines. The program consists of different competitive levels, ranging from ODP to Level 6, with training schedules varying based on level. Entry into this program requires prior experience and coach approval. Training: 2-4 times per week.
Provincial/National
Designed for dedicated athletes pursuing a competitive career, this program focuses on excelling in rhythmic gymnastics and competing at the highest levels. Athletes train intensively, starting from the ODP level and progressing to Level 6. Participation requires prior rhythmic gymnastics experience and a physical assessment. Coach approval is mandatory for entry. Training: 4-6 days per week.
